Return Policy

Street and Sport Motorcycles Limited is committed to providing quality products to customers. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with any product, please return it to us in its original condition within 7 days of purchase. Proof of purchase must be provided. Where applicable we will give consideration to either a replacement, exchange or an in store credit. If you have changed your mind about a particular purchase, we do not have to provide you with a refund therefore it is important that you choose carefully.

It will be at the discretion of Street and Sport Motorcycles Limited Management to determine if they will accept the return of any item.

Faulty Goods:

It is our policy to ensure the products you purchase meet our quality standards. However if you do receive a product which is faulty, please ensure you advise us immediately by phoning us or bringing the merchandise into our store for further inspection along with proof of purchase. Where necessary we will take steps to return merchandise to the supplier for further inspection and consideration for replacement. Where applicable we may exchange the faulty item immediately with the exact same product if available and in stock. If the item is no longer available by our supplier, we may consider an exchange or refund based on the purchase price of original purchase.

We will meet our obligations to provide a remedy regarding faulty goods as advised under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Additional Charges:

• Where applicable a restocking fee may apply for returned goods. Minimum charge 10% of original purchase price.
• Where freight is a component of an original purchase, the freight charge will not be refundable.
• In relation to a Faulty item being sent to manufacturer and found not to be faulty, a freight charge may apply.

Non-Returnable Goods:

All electrical components of any type.

Layby Terms and Conditions

1. Purchases

1.1 Our layby service is only available for purchases in New Zealand.

1. upon placing a deposit of not less than 20% of the total value of the purchase;
2. Of one or more items of merchandise in a single transaction for a total purchase price (excluding delivery or storage charges) equal to or exceeding $100.

1.2 Our layby service is not available for the following merchandise:

1. gift cards/vouchers
2. Motor cycles or Scooters

1. Payments & Deposit

2.1 Minimum deposit applies for all layby merchandise of not less than 20% of total purchase price of a single transaction.

2.2 The purchase price (including delivery and storage charges, where applicable) for layby merchandise must be paid in equal installments on:

1. the purchase date or order date, then such dates as agreed to for installments thereafter that fall either:
2. weekly,
3. fortnightly,
4. or monthly,
5. Payments shall commence respectively the immediate week/ fortnight /month following purchase date with payment completed within 3 months. By way of example, if you purchase layby merchandise with weekly repayments, for a purchase price (including delivery and or storage costs) of $250 (less 20% deposit), you must pay the owing balance of $200 with equal weekly installments of not less than $15.55 based on a maximum repayment period of 90 days (3 months).
   1. All installments maybe paid for by cash, eftpos or accepted credit cards only.
6. If paying via credit card you will provide us with details of your credit card and authorize us to debit such card for each installment on the relevant date as described in clause 2.2 above. Please note that, in certain cases a transaction may not be processed for up to 48 hours after the relevant date.
   1. In order to obtain earlier delivery or release of layby merchandise, you may at any time choose to prepay the outstanding balance of the purchase price. If you would like to do this, please call us on 03 366 2201 or visit us at our above location

1. Variations and Cancellation

3.1 You may, at any time before the purchase price has been paid in full and for any reason, cancel the layby by giving us notice to that effect. Similarly, we may cancel the layby if an installment is not paid on the relevant date as described in clause 2.2 above, however, we will endeavor to contact you before doing so.

3.2 On cancellation by either you or us, you will be entitled to a refund of any payments you have made, less any loss or cost incurred by us specific to this layby transaction and its cancellation, as provided for by the Layby Sales Act 1971.

3.4 You are not able to vary a layby in any way. For example you cannot remove individual items of merchandise from a layby, add further merchandise to an existing layby, or convert an existing order into a layby. Further, we will not pass on to you any price reductions or offers which may apply to merchandise at any time after the purchase/order date.

1. Property, delivery and returns

4.1 The layby merchandise will remain the property of Street and Sport Motorcycles until the purchase price is paid in full.

4.2 We will deliver/release any layby merchandise to you in accordance with our usual delivery policies once the purchase price has been paid in full.

4.3 For the avoidance of doubt, our usual returns policy will apply to the layby merchandise.

1. Storage

5.1 All care will be taken to ensure the safe keeping of merchandise whilst stored at the premises of Street and Sport Motorcycles Limited whilst held under the standard terms and conditions of your layby purchase.

5.2 You may view the item(s) on layby during normal trading hours at the discretion of Street and Sport Motorcycles Limited.

1. Layby Sales Act 1971

We will comply in all respects with the Layby Sales Act 1971.

1. General

7.1 Defined Terms:  In these Terms “purchase price” included, except where indicated otherwise, our delivery charges, “we”, “our” and “us” means Street and Sport Motorcycles Limited and “you” means our customer.

7.2 Headings: For convenience, these Terms have been grouped under headings, but the headings do not affect the meaning of these Terms.

7.3 Privacy: A copy of our privacy policy is available on our website.

7.4 Law: These terms shall be interpreted in accordance with and governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Gift Vouchers

1. Vouchers may only be redeemed at Street and Sport Motorcycles Ltd.
2. Vouchers may not be transferred, exchanged for cash or returned for a refund.
3. Unused balances are not refundable or transferable.
4. Vouchers must have a valid Street and Sport Motorcycles Ltd issue number and date.
5. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
6. Street and Sport Motorcycles Ltd are not responsible for any lost or stolen vouchers.
7. No change will be given if the full value of the voucher has not been used.
8. Gift vouchers must be relinquished to Street and Sport Motorcycles Ltd at time of purchase.
9. Minimum gift voucher value $10, maximum $100 per voucher
