Taren |
![]() |
Taren is Phil’s Border Collie, and is well known for her ball handling skills. Guaranteed to amuse children for hours, she has become a much loved member of the team. |
Phil Garrett |
Phil was Glenn’s partner in the successful World Landspeed Record for Motorcycle Sidecar in 2005 with the Flying Kiwi, so when he was offered the chance to work with Glenn again at Street and Sport; he jumped at the opportunity. Phil grew up in London, and his CV includes being a motorcycle courier, a London Bobby and driving tourists the length of Africa in 17 in tonne Mercedes trucks; so he figured compared to that running a bike shop would be worth a try. The business is growing, he hasn’t lost all his hair and he still has a never ending stream of bad jokes, so it seems he was right.
Phil runs the sales side of the business, and in his spare time (???) commentates at various motorcycle races as well as being a guest speaker. He has a pristine Dunstall Norton Commando, a Gas Gas trials bike and a Kawasaki GPz1000 in his shed. |

Caron Bedwell |
Caron is our operations and personnel manager and like the rest of the staff is a motorcycle enthusiast. Having come from a farming background and employment industry primarily in customer relations, having the opportunity to incorporate the passion of motorcycles into the mix was a definite bonus. I have enjoyed rough off-road trailbike rides, the speed of on-road motorcycle racing, and tripping to Rallies throughout the South Island with groups of friends. | |
Glenn Hayward |
|
Glenn has been in the motorsport scene all his adult life, and has raced everything from Karts to drag cars as well as mechanicing in a race team in Europe, but these days his passion is bikes. There’s not a lot he doesn’t know about modern Triumphs, and if you want to get your bike performing like never before, ask Glenn.
Glenn has a shed full of bikes, including a one wheeled bike that nobody else is game to ride and quite probably the world’s fastest GN125, but we can’t see there being a film about it. |
Stefan Orlito |
![]() |
Stefan is well known in the Triumph community for his radical Rocket 3 custom. Pretty much the baddest street fighter in town with hints of cafe racer, this bike is a testament to Stefan’s ability to build a bike. With 30 years trade experience, including running one of Christchurch’s top car workshops, Stefan specialises in dyno-tuning and performance enhancements. |
